Continuing the path and across the olive groves, from the copper to the monastery on the hill is the Basilica of St. Isidorou. This old Christian basilica dating from the 6th or 7th century and has survived in very bad condition. The Church in the second phase was vaulted by pillars, while some architectural remains suggest a third construction phase in the 11th century. Moreover, in the temple found fragments of marble sculptures, a cross Malta type and parts marble pulpit. Access to the temple is difficult and perhaps more “passable” way is by Monoitsia and Panagia Rachidiotissa.
