Glinado’s old parish Church of the Transfiguration of Christ (“Christos”) celebrates on August 6. Events, which start on the eve, include live music and dancing at the square and in the village tavernas.
The lintel of the northern aisle of the arched-roofed church bears the date 1654, while the southern aisle is dated 1740. Old marble flagstones in the courtyard, with numbers engraved, have been revealed to cover the graves of villagers from all three neighboring settlements in the Livadi valley.
