The Kouros is one of the most striking examples of Naxos marble sculpturing. Its length is 6 meters and was sculptured around 570 BC. This is the unfinished statue of a teenager who is “lying” in an orchard and his one leg is broken. Nearby is the ancient quarry and speculated that his leg was broken during transportation of the statue.
