The monastery of Agios Eleftherios, is located within the village Sagkriou, belonged to the Varvataki family since the 17th century , the oldest inscription found above the entrance and informs us that in August 1636 renovated while the foundation of the monastery seems to be even older. In 1766 it belonged to the monk Seraphim Varvatopoulon. In 1816 the abbot of the monastery Callinicos Varvatopoulos founded a school, which functioned as a school of the mountainous to 1834. Today is restored and works as a Folklore Art museum.
