It is found in the centre of Island, easternly of village Kynidaros, westwards Apeiranthos, southernl Keramoti and north of Tragaias, built insides and in altitude roughly 600 m., with unlimited view in the basin of Tragaias. The name of village emanates from the Byzantine monastery that exists in the region and now is Byzantine church of Virgin Mary “Drosianis”. The monastery of Virgin Mary of Drosianis, while it was acquaintance from the very old years, was elected by the archaeological work, the decade 1970.It is Byzantine rythm and is dated 4th with 6th century. In the village exists and deserve to visit the “well” which maintain in very good situation and the Community washing-machines. There is municipal school and the holy temple of village is dedicated in Saint Fotini.
